2017- First Quarter in Review

The first quarter of 2017 has been interesting to say the least. Although the unit sales volume has been down for real estate in Whistler year-over-year, the average transaction value has gone up quite significantly.

Due to the lower amount of units available, and high demand from buyers, the real estate market in Whistler has primarily become a sellers’ market. Because of this, the average property cost has risen so far in 2017 by 13%.

Although there is the higher average cost per property, sales activity so far this year has still been much higher than previous years. This is because people know that there is value in these Whistler properties still outweighs the cost, making it a smart buy and an easy choice for most buyers.
